Camuzzago farmhouse in Bellusco (MI)
The plan and depth of the building’s foundations were analyzed through direct prospection while the above ground structure underwent horizontal coring for structural methodology analysis. Flat head jacks were used to determine stress and deformation characteristics of masonry.
Finite Elements Models were implemented on the four main buildings to give a global assessment of the behaviour of the structure as a whole, to understand how the masonry structure could be used in the future and the type of intervention necessary for the structural strengthening.
