S. Maria Maddalena church in Bellusco (MI) - structural improvement
Due to the poor characteristics of the soil, the foundations of the S. Maria Maddalena church had to be reinforced, this along with a major dehumidification project necessary to keep the church frescoes in good condition.
The reinforcement of the foundations of the walls and columns was carried out keeping existing walls separate from those in reinforced concrete allowing loads to be immediately transferred to the new structures.
Pillars were also reinforced by injection or, for those under greater stress, using an internal stainless steel frame.
