Safety coordination
Coordination of safety on temporary and mobile construction sites is closely linked to the organization and management of the site itself. Well-planned and coordinated work is carried out safely (a regulatory requirement), and the subsequent execution of construction processes and site activities is both effective and efficient.
Thanks to FOPPOLI MORETTA e ASSOCIATI s.r.l.'s experience in public and private projects, safety coordination is carried out with a genuine focus on the project and its feasibility, based on in-depth knowledge of construction site operations. Professional expertise regarding specific design and execution challenges in the architectural, structural, and MEP sectors, combined with continuous regulatory updates, enables the coordination of safety processes during both the design and execution phases, ensuring they are practical and fully understood by all operators.
The Safety and Coordination Plan is prepared in close collaboration with the project designer: safety decisions are coordinated with planned site operations, both spatially and temporally, resulting in a comprehensive document that serves as a reliable operational basis for the main contractor and subcontractors to develop and coordinate their specific Operational Safety Plans. Operational decisions are therefore developed through meetings with the project team and on-site inspections.
Safety coordination during the Execution Phase involves several key activities:
- Operational planning in coordination with executing contractors;
- Verification of safety documentation provided by the contractors;
- Updating the Safety and Coordination Plan according to the progress of the work;
- Maintaining the Site Safety Log to record the instructions issued during site inspections.
Crucial steps related to site safety management are shared with the client through the Project Manager.
