Ganda bridge in Morbegno (SO) – seismic hazard analysis
Analysis was carried out to assess static and seismic structural risk factors and was organized as follows:
- geometric laser scanner survey;
- analysis of historical documentation with present day condition;
- cracking and deformation condition checking through direct surface inspection;
- ultrasound tomographic structural analysis;
- coring and endoscopic video inspection to detect structural stratigraphy.
External analysis was carried out through access and positioning techniques through ropes as per the Italian Health & Safety code.
The data gathered meant it was possible to evaluate static and seismic structural risk, including its relevant category of risk in compliance with the Italian Seismic code.
