S. Sindone chapel in the Turin cathedral
During reinforcement work, it became necessary to collect information concerning the structural solidity of 6 arches of the chapel dome. Tests were carried out using flat jacks for the estimation of in situ compressive stress. As the analysed arches were of a small dimension, the jacks used were equally small, semi-circular and 325x120x5 mm in size.
