Besta Mansion in Bianzone (SO)
Analysis involved continuous sub-vertical and horizontal coring, endoscopic video inspections in bore holes, flat jack and parallel flat jack testing, radar survey for the detection of the geometric extrados of the vaults and analysis of cracks.
Structural monitoring with fixed instruments for crack measurement and long base extensimeter for movements in counter positioned structures was carried on over a two year period. A structural Finite Elements Model was implemented in order to assess the structural condition of the building.
