Previous Next

Analysis was carried out through laser-scanning, giving a precise and efficient result concerning the geometric state of the building, including fissures and deformation. The photographic survey was carried out through remote controlled drone as the side of the building facing the cliff face is otherwise inaccessible.

The condition of the buttress was then analyzed through the positioning with rope access techniques. Inside the building, a stratigraphical process was used to analyze the condition of paintwork and the possible presence of frescoes under superficial layers. Electric gauges were also installed across existing cracks to check their variations in openings for structural monitoring. Environmental checks were carried out using thermo-hygrometric probes.
