Blasi Schulhaus in Basel, Switzerland - testing for seismic hazard analysis
The diagnosis was carried out in order to bring a school building up to comply seismic protection levels and was managed as follows:
- measurement of structural masonry stress through fat jack testing;
- determination of structural deformation and compression resistance through parallel flat jack testing;
- determination of shear characteristics of masonry through flat jacks with the FJ-SCT technique (Flat Jack - Shear Compression Test)
