Partnership con BAC, catalan engineering company

On Wednesday, 22 February, a partnership agreement was formalized in Barcelona between FOPPOLI MORETTA e ASSOCIATI srl and BAC Engineering Consultancy Group SL, a leading engineering company in Catalonia active in civil and structural engineering, ship inspection, and quality control. BAC is one of the largest engineering firms in Spain, also operating in environmental and renewable energy sectors, with specific expertise in BIM-based design. The company, with over 150 employees, is headquartered in Spain, with branches in South America and the Middle East, and operates in other European countries (UK, Norway, Switzerland, France, and Italy) through partnerships with local engineering firms.

For several months, FMeA and BAC have been exchanging information and experiences, which culminated in January with a visit to Tirano by Lluis Moya Ferrer, Technical Director of BAC’s “Building Construction” division and Professor of Structural Analysis at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia, and Resmundo Manga Conte, Project & Tender Manager. Following up on this earlier visit, on 21–22 February, Dario Foppoli and Alessandro Armanasco visited BAC’s headquarters in Barcelona, where they had the opportunity to tour some of the company’s most significant projects, including the consolidation of Hospital de La Santa Creu i Sant Pau, the MNAC – National Palace of Montjuïc (arch. Gae Aulenti and others), the Teatre Liceu, as well as the new Caixa Forum building (arch. Arata Isozaki & R. Luna), the Abgar Tower (arch. Jean Nouvel), and the Museu del Disseny de Catalunya (MBM Arquitects).
