Lecture at Uppsala University

Dario Foppoli invited to give a lecture at Uppsala University, Sweden.

At the invitation of Prof. Christer Gustaffson, Full Professor in Sustainable Management of Cultural Heritage at the Department of Art, History and Conservation of Uppsala University, and consultant to the European Union in the fields of Culture, Education, and Research, Dario Foppoli delivered a lecture for the Master’s program in Sustainable Management of Cultural Heritage at Uppsala University, presenting his work as coordinator for the development of the Tangible Actions of the Valtellina Cultural District as a case study.

The lecture was part of a broader context of exchange on territorial cultural promotion experiences through large-scale projects developed in various European regions, including Sweden, Italy, and Serbia.

Titled “Cultural Heritage as a Resource for Regional Sustainable Development: The Example of Cultural Districts in Italy”, the lecture focused on answering the numerous questions raised within the master’s program:

- what is a Cultural District;

- who are the partners?

- how they agreed upon that cultural heritage is a resource for regional development?

- what are examples of activities?

- what are results and outcomes of the project?
