SF&R 2018 Conference in Edinburgh, UK

From 15 to 17 May, the 17th European Bridge Conference – Structural Faults & Repair (SF&R) was held in Edinburgh, Scotland, UK. During the conference, FOPPOLI MORETTA e ASSOCIATI presented a paper focusing on the characterization of different materials and construction techniques applied to bridges belonging to the cultural heritage of Northern Italy.
Using the "case histories" of the Ponte Vecchio in Bassano del Grappa (TV) and the Ponte di Ganda in Morbegno (SO), the planned strategies, adopted criteria, applied methods, and obtained results related to the diagnostic activities carried out on these bridges were illustrated, all within the framework of the “knowledge process” defined by Italian regulations.
