Conferences and seminars – Spring/Summer 2019

In the first half of 2019, we were invited to present our activities in the field of cultural heritage and landscape across a variety of contexts, reflecting the wide recognition and appreciation they have received.
In April, we were invited to present the investigations carried out on the Torre del Bramante in Vigevano during the annual assembly of the College of Engineers and Architects of the Province of Pavia, held at the Castello di Vigevano.
In mid-July, we were invited to the 7th edition of the “Emilio Sereni School of Territorial Governance,” hosted at the renowned Alcide Cervi Institute in Gattatico (RE), where we had the opportunity to discuss the activities we have carried out and coordinated for the enhancement of the Valtellina cultural landscape.
During the same week, we were also invited to present a paper at the closing ceremony of the Master’s program in Forensic Engineering, organized by the Politecnico di Torino and the Order of Engineers of Torino, showing the operational possibilities for the “structural monitoring and control of buildings affected by settlements and vibrations.”
At the beginning of July, together with Prof. Gianluigi Garbellini, we were invited to present at the AlCantino cultural space in Tirano the results of the analyses conducted over the past year on the Church of S. Giacomo in Tirano, as part of the MigliorArTi project funded by the Cariplo Foundation.
Finally, also in July, the Order of Architects of Novara and VCO involved us in the 3rd edition of the “Costruire nel Costruito” conference, held in Vanzone (VB). In this context, we were asked to prepare a paper on stone buildings in Valtellina and Valposchiavo (written together with Arch. Evaristo Zanolari) and a specific paper on “diagnostic investigations and structural assessments of historic tower buildings.”
This intense period of activity has been demanding but extremely rewarding, as it allows us to see the scientific quality of our work duly recognized and to engage in stimulating discussions and exchanges with other specialists in the field.
