Italian State Property Agency

Following the significant experience gained with the Seismic Vulnerability Assessment of the Palazzo degli Uffici Finanziari in Bolzano, Foppoli Moretta e Associati continues its activities on behalf of the Italian State Property Agency (Agenzia del Demanio). In the last months of 2018, FMeA successfully won, either directly or as the lead partner in RTPs, several important national tenders for buildings located in Lombardy, Trentino-Alto Adige, and Piedmont.
In the first part of the year, FMeA completed the diagnostic investigations, Seismic Vulnerability Assessment, and BIM model implementation for the former Melegnano Barracks in Lodi, Lombardy; this assignment, carried out in just 60 days, has already received the Certification of Regular Execution from the Client.
Currently, a more complex project is underway in Trentino, concerning several buildings belonging to the former prison complex in Rovereto (TN). The assignment starts with a laser-scanner survey and includes structural diagnostic investigations, seismic vulnerability assessment, and energy diagnostics, as well as the preparation of the model and the BIM-based drafting of the Operational Feasibility Study aimed at achieving seismic and energy improvements, along with the layout modifications necessary for the new functions the Agency plans to allocate within the buildings.
Finally, a third project, located in the Piedmont region, will soon be delivered. This will concern the F.lli Garrone Barracks in Vercelli, with a total volume exceeding 55,000 m³, making it the largest of the three buildings. In this case as well, the work will begin with a laser-scanner survey, followed by diagnostic investigations, seismic vulnerability assessment, and full BIM modeling of the entire building.
