Activities in Switzerland within the Interreg “ConValoRe” Project

As part of the ConValoRe Project (‘Conserving and Enhancing the Shared Rhaetian Space: Cultural Heritage and Cultural Landscape of Valtellina and Valposchiavo in the UNESCO Context’), several activities will be carried out to survey, model, study, and conserve cultural heritage. Methodologies will be shared between technicians working in Valtellina and those in the Canton of Grisons.

Our firm has been appointed by the Canton of Valposchiavo, in collaboration with architect Zanolari of Poschiavo, to coordinate the project activities concerning the Swiss territory, specifically focusing on the Church of S. Vittore and one of the buildings on “Via dei Palaz” in Poschiavo. Detailed surveys and diagnostic investigations are currently underway on these buildings, including ultrasonic, penetrometric, magnetometric, flat-jack, and resistograph tests, aimed at characterizing the mechanical behavior of masonry and timber structures.

The project seeks to experiment with innovative operational methods with the goal of developing a reproducible model that can also be applied to other buildings within the Canton of Grisons. To this end, the survey is being conducted using laser-scanner techniques and will be processed in BIM, providing an organized collection of all the information necessary for structural and diagnostic assessments.

The local newspaper "Il Grigione Italiano" has also published an interesting article covering the activities carried out.
