Colloredo castle in Monte Albano (UD)
Analysis was carried out to characterize non reinforced masonry samples and those reinforced by grouting or by insertion of engineering tie rods in order to choose the best operational method for the improvement of the mechanical characteristics of the structure.
Testing was carried out as follows:
- masonry stress testing through flat jacks;
- deformation in masonry structures and estimation of their strength through parallel flat jacks both on reinforced and non reinforced masonry;
- shear testing on masonry through flat jack using the FJ-SCT method (Flat Jack - Shear Compression Test) on reinforced and non reinforced masonry.
