New ringroad in Tirano (SO)
In the project to improve access to the Valtellina area, Lombardy regional council and ANAS S.p.A. (Italian highways agency), drew up the SS.38 Tirano tender. The provincial council of Sondrio created a technical consultation for the “identification of mid-term or temporary solutions to the circulation problems in Tirano” with the objective of :
-finding a solution to the problem of crossing the city by car;
-keeping costs on budget to ensure financing;
-not impacting the traffic circulation project lower down the valley, and wherever possible, working hand in hand with the other project.
