High Voltage rationalisation programme in Media Valtellina
In the project to increase performance of the electricity network, a new 380 kV power line would be set up with Italo-Swiss interconnectivity in S.Fiorano (BS) Italy and Robbia, Switzerland.
Local authorities proposed a rationalization plan of high voltage transfer (220 kV and 132 kV) across the mountain territories in Tirano (SO) and Breno (BS).
This rationalization programme will involve the creation of the 380 kV power line in the territory of Tirano mountain council, the underground channelling, for 29.2 km, of the 132 kV line and the dismantling of 26.3 km of 220 kV line.
