The Ossario temple in Bassano del Grappa (VI)
The project concerning the diagnostic study of materials, damages, finishing and external treatment pathologies was carried out under the programme of restructuration and restoration of the Ossario temple and bell-towers in Bassano del Grappa.
The project brought to completion the following, mainly non-destructive, testings:
- dynamic tests – vibration on the bell-towers and the church facade;
- thermographic tests on the internal surfaces and the main facade;
- electromagnetic tests;
- analysis of metal corrosion;
- ultrasonic measurements;
- endoscopic video surveys;
- physical - chemical - petrographical analysis of paintwork/plaster/stone;
- mapping of moisture in masonry;
- analysis of floor slabs.
Internal surfaces were analyzed with two Movable Work Platform (39 and 25 m in height) while the outdoor activities were performed through access techniques in compliance with the procedures defined by the Italian national Health & Safety code.
